“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9 NLT
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A WOMAN OF FAITH
A woman of faith has a relationship with God and believes in and understands who He is. He is our Father, and He wants us to have a close relationship with Him.
One way to accomplish that is by praying to Him regularly. The women of faith in the Bible did that often.
She rests in God, rather than frets, a meek and quiet woman trusts in the Lord. She delights in the Lord, committing her ways to Him and trusting in Him. She delights herself in abundant peace, trusting God to be who He says that He is. She remains still before Him and waits patiently for Him.
JOURNEY TO STARTING GWWF MINISTRY
In 2016 the Holy Spirit started calling Kathleen to convene a group for Women, due to various constraints Kathleen didn’t pursue this.
In 2019 Kathleen started to hear more from the Holy Spirit and decided to form Godly Women with Faith online.
The Holy Spirit’s vision was to help grow a community of like-minded woman, pray for souls, share the Gospel and explore how God works in our lives in every situation, good and not so good.
Fast forward to 2024, through praying the Novena to Our Lady of Loretto in May, the Holy Spirit guided Kathleen through various signs, confirmations and guidance to now start her podcast and to convene a Catholic Women’s Ministry.
This Group envisages that it will help provide a supportive community and help build friendships of likeminded women of God.
MINISTRY PATRON SAINT
Our Lady – Mary embodies what it truly means to be a woman: she is fierce, formidable, and feminine, both daughter and mother.
Mary, as the mother of Jesus, is thus seen as a symbol of God’s love and a reminder of the importance of human relationships and connections.
Mary is one of the most important figures in Christianity, as the ultimate symbol of motherhood her clothing is a reflection of her virtues such as her purity, modesty, faith and love for her child. In Christianity, she is not only the mother of Christ but also the mother of all humanity.

MINISTRY MISSION
Our mission is centred around the growth and empowerment of women in their spiritual journey.
We are committed to:
1. Mentoring and Supporting Younger Women: (future initiative)
The Big Sister Mentoring Program is a cornerstone initiative of Godly Women with Faith, designed to foster spiritual growth, personal development, and community-building through mentorship. This program pairs experienced women 31yrs + (Big Sisters) with younger women 18yrs – 30yrs (Little Sisters) to provide guidance, support, and encouragement in their faith journey and everyday life. Through this program, they will build meaningful, faith-based relationships, share life experiences, and grow together in their relationship with Christ.
2. Strengthening Community: We foster a supportive environment where women can build lasting friendships, share experiences, and uplift one another in the love of Christ.
3. Spiritual Growth: Encouraging members to grow in their faith, knowledge of the Gospel, and relationship with God through prayer and fellowship.
4. Missionary outreach initiative: Feed My People Mission (current mission) and Our Lady of Victory Mission (coming soon)
Remember this: “The one who plants few seeds will have a small harvest. But the one who plants a lot will have a big harvest. Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give. ” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Feed my People mission was placed on Kathleen, our Founder’s heart on May 11, when she kept hearing the words “Feed My People.” Shortly afterwards, the Committee agreed to begin on the 1st June 2025 the mission will offer practical help to mothers in need.
Which has involve directing funds raised to Pregnancy Assistance, so they can provide baby formula to families in need.
As the mission continues, we also aim to:
- Provide food for those experiencing homelessness

Lydia was born in Karachi, Pakistan, where she received her education and all her sacraments at Christ the King School and Church. In 1988, she migrated to Perth, Australia, with her husband and two daughters.
Lydia and her husband Keith have been happily married for 47 years. One of her first priorities upon arriving in Perth was to find a Catholic church, and she has been a devoted parishioner of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lockridge ever since. She serves as both a Proclaimer and Eucharistic Minister and has faithfully brought Communion to the sick and elderly whenever needed.
In 1995, Lydia founded the parish youth group Antioch, which she led for eight years. Her passion for youth ministry continued as she worked with the young people of the parish to present the Stations of the Cross as a reflective experience for 16 consecutive years—a tradition that continues today, carried on by the youth she once mentored. She has also been a driving force behind numerous parish fundraising initiatives.
Lydia is an active member of the Friday Friends in Christ, a group that meets weekly for prayer and reflection on the Gospel readings. She also serves as the Director of Hospitality for Godly Women in Faith.
